the south shore of the tropical paradise island of
Roatan, in the Bay Islands of Honduras, Waihuka

Maurilio Mirabella and Sergio Tritto welcome you to experience
the beauty and wonder of diving with sharks here in
Roatan. Founded 8 years ago by Maurilio and Sergio,
Waihuka Diving Adventures offers you the opportunity to
see Caribbean Reef Sharks up close and personal.
 Sergio
Tritto - Owner/Operator
Sergio began
diving over 30 years ago (occasionally he surfaces for a
bit of sunshine) in his home of Italy. His adventures
have taken him all around the world respectfully
enjoying the company of sharks. To date Sergio has been
diving with; Silvertip (his favorite), hammerheads,
bull, tiger, silky, whale, Caribbean Reef, oceanic white
tip, black tip, thresher and white tip reef sharks.
Sergio is still active as one of the dive leaders.
 Maurilio
Mirabella
- Owner/Operator
Maurilio has been a Roatan resident for over 15
years and is one of the pioneers in shark encounters
here. Maurilio is also from Italy and been diving in
the company of Tiger, Hammerhead, Silky, Whale,
Caribbean Reef Sharks (just about every day for the
last 9 years) and nurse sharks. He is still active
as one of the daily dive leaders with a great shark
safari tour.
 Roberto
Ruis -Divemaster
Born on
Roatan, Roberto has been diving since 1999, is a PADI
Divemaster and has been working with Waihuka since
2001. Roberto has been diving in the company of;
Caribbean Reef Sharks, Whale Sharks, Scalloped
Hammerhead and Nurse Sharks.
 Ronnie
Hotta – Videographer
A Roatan
original, Ronnie has been diving since 2001. He has been
with Waihuka for 4 years as a Divemaster and now 3 years
as a Videographer. Ronnie videotapes each dive and
offers custom DVD’s of your experience.
Ronnie has
been diving in the company of; Caribbean Reef Sharks,
Whale Sharks, Scalloped Hammerhead and Nurse Sharks.
